Terms of service
Solidmade is a trade name of HireThomas, Inc., a Delaware corporation, 1111B S Governors Ave Suite 90226, Dover, DE 19904, United States. These terms apply when you buy work from us.
1. Scope and price
Before any work starts, we agree in writing (a message in the Upwork chat or the Upwork contract is fine) on what we'll do, the price and the expected timing. Work outside that scope needs a new agreement. We won't charge you for anything you haven't agreed to.
2. Payment
Upwork clients pay through Upwork, under the Upwork contract, and Upwork's own payment terms apply to that payment. On a fixed-price contract you fund the milestone on Upwork, and it's released to us once you've checked the finished work. Prices are in US dollars unless we agree otherwise. Any taxes or fees that apply are shown on Upwork before you pay.
3. Your part
You give us the information and access we need for the agreed work and confirm you're allowed to give it. Please keep a backup of your site or store before we start. We take care, but changes to live systems always carry some risk.
4. Delivery and re-fix
When the work is done we tell you what changed and how to check it. If an agreed fix stops working within 14 days because of our work, we fix it again at no charge.
5. Ownership
Once you've paid, the changes we make for you are yours. We may reuse general know-how, but never your confidential information.
6. Confidentiality
We keep your access details, data and business information private and use them only for your job. See our privacy policy.
7. Refunds
If we haven't started: changed your mind before we begin? Message us and we'll refund you in full.
If we can't do what we agreed: you get a full refund for that item. If we only finish part of the job, we refund the part not done.
If the fix doesn't hold: we fix it again as set out in section 4, and if we still can't make it work, we refund that item.
How to ask: message us in the Upwork chat (or through our Upwork agency profile) within 14 days of delivery with what went wrong. We reply within two business days. For Upwork contracts, approved refunds are issued through Upwork, back to the payment method you used there. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show them.
8. Liability
We do the work with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost data), and our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
9. Ending work
Either side can stop a job at any time with a written message (for Upwork clients, in the Upwork chat). If we stop before finishing, we refund the part of the price for work not done.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without affecting any rights you have under the consumer laws of where you live.
